Here Is How H.P.I.N. International Can Help

Food Assistance

There are studies that show Connecticut’s Child Food Insecurity rate is approximately 18% of the 140,290 children living statewide.

Food Insecurity is described by the USDA as a lack of access to adequate amounts of healthy and nutritious food for an active and healthy life.

In Connecticut, there are well over 80 food banks, soup kitchens, and food pantries at the service to people in need, from Fairfield to Litchfield, Middlesex to New Haven and from New London to Windham Counties.

With such great resources here in our state, no child or family should ever go to bed hungry.

Here at H.P.I.N. International, it is our task and mission to connect people in need to great programs and institutions, like the Connecticut Food Bank, that work with local growers, retailers, the food industry, and community support volunteers.

Housing Assistance

To have a safe and flourishing community, there must be a stable and healthy environment in place for individuals and families with little or no income. We believe here at H.P.I.N. International that this basic human right is necessary and essential to maximize every person's full human potential.

Clean and affordable housing is part of several basic human needs in society. Yet, so many people in our state are without it. Utilizing Solid Rock Spiritual Center and the Department of Housing and Urban Development, H.P.I.N. International will stand in the gap as an advocate and philanthropy to resolve the issue(s) of homelessness in our state.

Clothing Assistance

The clothing assistance program helps individuals meet their own and their families’ personal needs by providing our clients with free and low-cost quality clothing, assistance with free or low-cost pricing as well as encouraging self-sufficiency while allowing clients to apply more of their income towards other basic needs.

The main objective is to lessen the stigma of poverty by providing quality clothing at below market prices. This assistance program helps to promote self-confidence and restore personal dignity back to individuals and families.

H.P.I.N. International Affordable Clothing and Assistance Program targets low-income and homeless individuals, which may include persons or families escaping from domestic abuse situations, social assistance recipients, senior citizens, veterans, people with disabilities, and people in crisis situations.

Veterans Assistance

Our mission is to assist veterans in finding the right kind of care for each person's situation. Our office of assistance and advocacy is responsible for providing help to our veterans and their eligible spouses and dependents in obtaining all veteran benefits under federal, state, and local laws.

Working in conjunction with the Department of Veteran's Affairs, H.P.I.N. International will assist each client by matching them with Veteran Service Officers, which will collect and prepare the data relating to benefits and services as well as furnish counsel to veterans for matters concerning education training, health, medical, rehabilitation, housing facilities, and employment services.
